Hemmings Find of the Day – 1964 Valiant Signet convertible

Things in Canada are just a bit different than things in the United States. We eat chili cheese fries, while our neighbors to the north prefer poutine; we like football, they prefer hockey. The same was once true about automobiles, too: Cars sold here were similar to those offered in Canada, but not identical. This 1964 Valiant Signet convertible, for sale on Hemmings.com, is almost a Dodge Dart convertible, but it wears a Plymouth Valiant front clip. Like the Dart, this convertible rides on a 111-inch wheelbase, not the 106-inch wheelbase used by the Plymouth Valiant, and to make things even more confusing, Valiant was its own brand in Canada. All three cars do share a common engine, and this example sports the bulletproof 225-cu.in. slant-six bolted to a four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter.
