1964 Plymouth Belvedere

From the seller’s description:

This 1964 Plymouth Belvedere was purchased new in July 1964 by Anna Campbell of Pittsburg, Kansas. She drove it until 1989, then passed away in 1991. It was stored for 20+ years, then I bought it. It came to me with 22K miles and now has 25K miles.

I replaced most of the fuel system — new stainless fuel lines, new tank and sending unit, and rebuilt the carburetor. I left the original fuel pump because it works fine. I replaced the brake system from the master cylinder to the brake shoes — stainless lines, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, springs, etc. I installed new ignition — plugs and plug wires, cap, rotor, points, and condenser. The original water pump was not leaking, but I installed a new one, along with thermostat, belts, hoses, and coolant. I sent it out for an original type muffler and tail pipe and had new Uniroyal tires installed. It has the original shocks and they work fine.

It has a dealer installed Chrysler AirTemp under dash AC unit that did work, but needs to be recharged. The only options are automatic transmission, undercoating, seat belts, and heater.

There is one rusty spot on the underside of the hood where squirrels had nested near the hood hinge; it opens and closes fine, but I have a spare hood. The rest of the car has only a little surface rust. The areas behind the tires are completely solid, no rust ever. The bottom of the car is rust free. It had a repaint around 1990, with a slightly different shade of blue. The grille is near perfect, the moldings are great, the original bumpers and taillights are good. The trunk looks like new and the mat is original. Notice the bias-ply spare tire.

The dash looks great, the seats are as shown in the photos. The carpet and door panels look great. It starts, runs, and drives like a 2-year-old car. The 225 Slant Six is smooth and cruises quietly at 70 mph. The transmission shifts like new. This car can truly be driven anywhere with complete confidence.
