Hemmings Find of the Day – 1964 Chevrolet C-10
While straight-sixes were far from rarities in Chevrolet trucks of this vintage, what’s incredibly rare is that somebody decided to lovingly restore this 1964 Chevrolet C-10 for sale on Hemmings.com with a 230-cu.in. straight-six and three-on-the-tree transmission, presumably the drivetrain it originally came with, rather than with a V-8/automatic combination. From the seller’s description:
Award winning, 230 cubic inch six cylinder with 3 speed manual (column shift). Very few options (single sun visor, radio delete). Light green exterior with fawn interior. Truck has been restored and is in excellent, almost show quality condition. Always garaged, seldom driven. Since it was restored this truck has never seen rain and has been stored in a heated garage. I came across this little beauty a couple of years ago. It was restored to a very high level by a gentleman in Missouri, where the truck spent most of its life on a farm.
