1962 Jeep FC170

It’s never too early to think ahead and it’s always a good time to add a Jeep FC to your collection. If wood is in the heat plan for the winter months then this 1962 Jeep FC-170, for sale on Hemmings.com, might be just the sort of vehicle required to get the good stuff out of the forest and closer to stove or stoves. The forward control 4×4 appears to have been part of the New England Forestry Service at one point in its life, but has since had a total mechanical rehab according to the seller.

As proof of overhaul there is photo of the engine out of the chassis on a stand made of wood (naturally) in what looks like a well-kept workshop. The body appears in exquisite as-was condition. The FC-170 features a dump bed which is obviously in working order from the photos supplied. This Jeep looks ready to drive over most anything Vermont (or anywhere else) could throw at or under it with determined utility. From the seller’s description:

Engine-Radiator-Generator-Starter-Brakes-Wiring-Frame-Suspension-Fuel Tank-Transmission-Front End-Rear End and Trasfer Case either new or rebuilt.
