Hemmings Find of the Day – 1962 Facel Vega Facellia

While the Toyota four-cylinder engine under the hood of this 1962 Facel Vega Facellia for sale on Hemmings.com is far from stock, apparently few if any Facel Vega enthusiasts want anything to do with whatever original Pont-a-Mousson-built Facellia four-cylinders remain, and the Toyota engine makes just as much sense as anything else that’ll fit. The rest of the car looks a little rough, but remains solid and pretty much all there. From the seller’s description:

This is a strong running West Texas and New Mexico car. The engine is a low miles 2 liter twin-cam Toyota 18R-G with its stock 5 speed transmission. This car is undamaged and rustfree. The stainless brightwork is excellent. Spare windshield included, as well as some other parts. The interior needs a complete re-do but is complete. This is a very sound, mechanic-owned car.
