There’s nothing pretentious about an MGA, your basic, classic  British roadster, and this pleasantly scruffy 1960 MGA 1600 has earned Driveable Dream status in the hands of its long-term owners. The 1600, launched in 1959, has a 1,588cc pushrod B-series four for better performance over its 1500 predecessor, as well as front disc brakes. More than 100,000 examples of the MGA were built before the MGB, with its fancy roll-up windows and its 1,798cc engine, nudged it out of production.

The seller makes no claims of originality for the paint or the leather upholstery, and doesn’t mention whether the engine is original to the car, or the 74,000 miles showing on the odometer represent the true mileage. Sure, it could stand a new carpet and a little elbow grease, but would you restore a car like this? We hope not. From the seller’s description:

Bought this car from its second owner in 1969. We have enjoyed taking children and grandchildren for rides over the 45 years we have owned it. We have kept it in a garage for the entire 45 years. It begs for someone to love it as much as we have and to give it some TLC. Red Leather seats are in fair condition. Carpet needs replacing. Engine is 1600 CC. Runs good. Wire rim wheels. Tires are in great shape. This car is a lot of fun to drive.
