Hemmings Find of the Day – 1957 Ford Country Sedan
The reported original condition of this 1957 Ford Country Sedan for sale on Hemmings.com can certainly be explained by the car’s Western origins; what we find hard to explain, however, is why it accumulated less than 50,000 miles over the years – station wagons, even nicer ones such as this, were meant to rack up the miles both in and around town and crossing the country for family vacations. From the seller’s description:
This is an un-restored car that has the original paint, chrome and interior, with 47,000 original miles. This Country Sedan is the six-passenger model and is out of Reno, Nevada. This amazing automobile looks amazing in its original Willow Green and Colonial White with green and white interior. The vehicle’s 292CI V-8 (212hp) runs amazing and the 3 speed transmission on the column with overdrive shifts very smoothly. Some features include the Holley four barrel carburetor, whitewall tires, heater, defroster, two-tone paint, large wheel covers, and an outside rearview mirror. This car is not only in phenomenal original condition but also drives fantastic, as well.
