Hemmings Find of the Day – 1954 Lincoln Capri

It always seemed to me like the mid-1950s Lincoln Capris came pre-customized from the factory. That is, they incorporated features that many customizers (or, make that, kustomizers) would later go to great lengths to ape. All these Capris really needed was a bit of a torch job on the springs, a little of the gingerbread taken off, and a nice kandy or scallop paint scheme – no heavy bodywork needed. Then again, they look just fine as they are, too. This 1954 Lincoln Capri for sale on Hemmings.com could certainly stand some work, whether of the restoration or customization variety, but the seller says it’s all there and rolling with some minor rust after being stored inside for 15 years.
