A perfect Driveable Dream candidate, this 1954 Borgward Hansa 2400 for sale on Hemmings.com might look rough, but runs and remains rather complete, both major assets for a car that even the majority of car enthusiasts never heard of, let alone stock parts for. From the seller’s description:

This is a very rare Borgward, only about 4-5 are still in driving condition. The car has only 3,300 km on it. Has been sitting in a garage since 1960. Before that, it was for sale for many years at a local seller but didn’t sell, so they drive it themselves. Later sold to a farmer and after him to a second buyer, then been sitting inside a garage. Have paper and full story of the car. It has never been restored and is 98 percent complete. Missing tip of flasher lever and a button on the radio. These things I think you can find on other Borgwards. The car has damage to the interior roof made by some mice. Some rust under the doors and a bit of rust in the spare tire compartment. Otherwise, the paint is faded away. It runs very good and is very solid all over.
