1949 Chrysler Windsor

From the seller’s description:

1949 Chrysler Windsor with a straight six cylinder flathead “Spitfire” engine and “Fluid Drive” transmission. This car has a very unique history. It was bought new on 10-28-1949, at Noyes Garage in North Falmouth, Massachusetts, by then-governor of Massachusetts Christian A. Herter, who also used the car in D.C. when he was the Secretary of State under President Eisenhower. She was discovered on his property as a barn find in the early ’90s. The car has original Mass. plates, bill of sale, dealer brochure, spare tire, and rear seat covers. The chrome and interior are all original. Paint was touched up when the car was found, but it is mostly original. The motor runs excellent, and there are no issues with the transmission. “Fluid drive” means it’s both a standard and an automatic. New radial whitewall tires, king pins, tie rods and shocks. Original bias-ply tube tires are pictured and also come with car.
