Hemmings Find of the Day – 1948 Packard Eight Station Sedan
We’ve seen several Pack-ups here and there over the years, but none built from a station sedan – Packard’s postwar woodie wagon – as is the case with this 1948 Packard Eight Station Sedan for sale on Hemmings.com. Whoever buys it will have to contend with some rust along with all the issues that come along with any customized car and with any project car, but would end up with a unique vehicle – provided they don’t restore it back to a station sedan. From the seller’s description:
This rare Packard was converted from a Woody Station Sedan to a Pick up Truck. Only original wood paneling remaining is the tailgate of the wagon. Original engine, (327ci), manual transmission and overdrive. Includes rebuilt 288 ci engine, Included in price, are two extra front doors (L & R) correct radio, and rear skirts.
