Hemmings Find of the Day – 1947 Kaiser Special
One-family unrestored 1947 Kaiser Special for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:
This car was owned by one family and kept indoors for most of its life. It was driven at least once a month. The car is absolutely a pleasure to drive, but will need (4) new tires, because there is some cracking on the side walls, due to age. All (4) tires hold air and there is no leaking.
The car recently had a brand new master cylinder installed and the brakes work perfect.
I have been in touch with Kaiser members who have seen photos online and remarked that this car may be the most original survivor that exists today. It has some very unique features not seen on later models. The trunk displays the Darrin styled badge. The car is absolutely solid with original fabric. There is some fraying of the original seat, as well as water marks. All windows, doors and lights operate as it should. However, the drivers window has a crack in it, but the glass is easily obtainable. There is nothing missing from this car.
