Hemmings Find of the Day – 1937 BMW 327

From the photos of this 1937 BMW 327 for sale on Hemmings.com, it looks like somebody had a decent driver-quality car that needed some work, then for some unknown reason called a stop to the restoration before it could really begin in earnest. What’s left is a car that could likely go back together as is for minimal investment or proceed with the restoration and end up a spectacular piece of machinery. Which route would you take? From the seller’s description:
The car is complete with matching#. It comes with an extra set of front and rear quarter panels, rear lights, brand new electric harness etc. It also has a “Autenrieth” variation of the luggage spacewith folding spare tire. The company “Autenrieth” was before World War II, specializing in panels and body parts for coachbuilding in Darmstadt.
