VSCCA veteran 1923 Amilcar CG special for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

Ex Howie Gilmore Car: Well known in the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA)

This Amilcar CG Special underwent a total nuts and bolts restoration by JR Mitchell of GMT Racing (Newtown, CT). The car is a monoposto racer, wearing a completely hand made all natural aluminum body. Currently running a supercharged Ford E93 A engine, it has ran a quick 41 second time at Hunnewell Hill Climb (Wellesley, MA), and lapped Lime Rock Park in low 1.20’s (Lakeville, CT).

A very spacious cockpit, allows drivers of all sizes up to 6′-2″ to be comfortable. Equipped with a strong roll bar, five-point harness, fuel cell, and competition seat, to ensure safety. Thanks to JR, the handling and braking are superb! This Special comes with a VSCCA logbook, and is the perfect entry to the pre war class of VSCCA. Also included is a genuine Amilcar engine, with all original accessories, now dis-assembled for inspection ($10,000 value), should a future owner wish to convert it back to original specifications.

This Amilcar has been shown and featured at the prestigious Concours d’Elegance in Greenwich Connecticut
