Hemmings Find of the Day – concept cars at auction
‘Tis the season! No, not the season for decking the halls and eggnog and ugly sweaters. We’re talking about the season for scoping out the cars coming up for auction in Arizona next month. And Hemmings.com can help you with that. See, the auction houses all do their own parts to publicize the lots at their auctions through their own websites and their own catalogs, but no other place displays ads from the major auction houses in one place like Hemmings does. that way, if you’re not sure which auction has that Cadillac you want, search through Hemmings.com first.
For instance, while browsing through the auction listings, we came across several concept cars from the 1940s and 1950s headed to RM’s Phoenix event next month, including the 1956 Chrysler Plainsman (above), the 1954 Mercury XM-800, and the 1941 Chrysler Thunderbolt.
So keep an eye out there for late listings and unusual additions.
