Hemmings Find of the Day – 1992 BMW convertible and 1950 Plymouth Deluxe convertible
In continuing my goal of finding two-doors for less than $10k this week, I’ve done one better and found a convertible – a 1992 BMW for $4,650. Actually, let’s make that two convertibles with this 1950 Plymouth Deluxe for $6,950. From the BMW seller’s description:
LOWEST MILES!
LESS THAN 3,000 MILES/YEAR!
5-speed Manual Trans.
Heated Seats
New Front Brakes
New Tires
NEEDS NEW TOP
And from the Plymouth seller’s description:
just retrieved from lengthy storage, still wearing the factory original, Shore Green paint,(a rare color),with an older, replacement, complimenting interior. The car runs remarkably well, and has very decent exterior sheet metal. It will need a new convertible top, some rust repair to the floors and rocker panels, brake and fuel systems rehabilitation,as well as a complete cosmetic refurbishing. This is a low production model, even more desireable for its’ unmolested condition.
So which would you choose for top-down summer enjoyment?
