Hemmings Find of the Day – 1973 Volkswagen Thing

It’s too bad the seller of this 1973 Volkswagen Thing put a brand-new top on it. While it looks great raised (and we’re guessing it looks a bazillion times better than the old top), a Thing deserves to cruise around with the top down. After all, who’s gonna drive it in the winter? From the seller’s description:

Gray with black interior. Excellent body, very solid. the interior is all original. new soft-top, new tires. Runs and drives excellent. It has a broken tailpipe for the exhaust, needs a paintjob.
