Hemmings Find of the Day – 1941 International K-1

Can anybody explain why it is that woodies – such as this 1941 International K-1 woodie station wagon for sale on Hemmings.com – seem to get more accessories piled on them than other cars? Is it the whole surf wagon thing? Does doing so remind everybody of summer camping trips in the family’s termite townhouse? Or does it scratch a nostalgic itch deeper than that? From the seller’s description:
Extremely rare, only 6 known to exist! Frame-off restoration. Stock 6-cyl motor, manual transmission, wide whites, 3 seats, luggage rack, tilt-out windshield.
