Early drag cars get too few chances to show their stuff, especially in sunny So Cal. Barona Drag Strip on the Indian reservation east of San Diego has a great 1/8^th-mile strip, which was used to its fullest hosting the 2017 Antique Drags. Pre-1970 cars and trucks were in abundance as this was a chance to actually race your old door slammer. The pits were full and there were a surprising amount of spectators taking in the action during this picture perfect weather event.
