GALLERY: Doiron Captures “Road to the 250”
Former Pro All Star Series National Champion Joey Doiron topped a fierce battle with Joey Polewarczyk Sunday afternoon in the 150-lap Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model race.
Doiron and Polewarczyk swapped the race lead on five occasions during the feature event. In the end it was tire conservation that helped Doiron visit Victory Lane. Aided by a late-race restart that erased a three-second lead for Polewarczyk, Doiron was able to walk away on the restart and cruise to the win.
Mike Landry also was able to slip past Polewarczyk in a green-white-checkered situation to secure Second. Polewarczyk had to settle for Third. The top Three were awarded provisional starting spots for the Oxford 250, which takes place August 27.
Other winners on the afternoon included Bryce Mains (Street Stocks), Kyle Hewins (Bandits), and Mark Theriault (Wicked Good Vintage Racing Association).
