Got a 3D printer and want to hone your skills? There’s this 1/5-scale Ford 427-cu.in. V-8 that Steve Berry recently came across on Thingiverse.

* As one of the most radical of the radical kustoms, the Golden Sahara incorporated a number of out-there features, among them glow-in-the-dark tires provided by Goodyear. Custom Car Chronicle has more on the Sahara’s use of the tires.

* Alice O’Brien couldn’t fight in World War I but she could drive and assemble trucks and ambulances for the French, and her experiences in Europe, as told through her letters, have recently been released as a book. (via)

* As Japanese Nostalgic Car reminded us, the fifth-generation Honda Civic turns 25 this year, and it’s not just another milestone. As JNC wrote, the EG is “the car that propelled the 90s tuner movement into mainstream America.”

* We saw quite a few comments from people who want to travel Route 66 in our recent story about the road’s endangered status. For those of you with that desire but not enough vacation time to drive the whole road, there’s at least a series of dashcam videos showing the whole stretch that Route 66 News recently pointed out.
