Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 1962

Most of the shopping mall postcard photos we’ve seen have either been taken shortly after the mall opened or after it renovated. Given that Coral Ridge Center in Fort Lauderdale opened in November 1962 and a quick scan of the cars in this postcard photo that Retro Palm Beach posted doesn’t appear to show anything after that date, we’d say this photo follows that pattern. The mall, by the way, remains at the intersection of Route 1 and East Oakland Park Boulevard today, but has been extensively renovated. What do you see here?
