Escondido, California, 1972

The photographers for the Documerica project seemed to really love these photos of stacked cars at the junkyard. We’ve already seen David Falconer’s pictures from a Portland, Oregon, junkyard, as well as Dick Swanson’s take on a Philadelphia stack, and just recently we came across this photo that Gene Daniels took in April 1972 in Escondido, California, on the National Archives’s Tumblr page.
