Dorset, Vermont, 1962
Ah, the New England estate auction. Musty, dusty, rusty farm implements in the barn and acres of lace curtains and collector plates in the house. Despite that, there’s still treasures to be found if you can get there early enough and elbow your way to the front of the crowd. What gems awaited the bidders at this 1962 auction in Dorset, Vermont, photograph courtesy the University of Vermont’s Landscape Change Program, we don’t know, but we can at least take a stab at identifying all the cars in the farmyard. What do you see here?
