Denver, Colorado, 1953

While plenty of photographs – including this September 1953 image of the Republic Building in downtown Denver, Colorado, which we came across in the Denver Public Library‘s photo archive – invite us to look upward at the grand architecture of a city, we’re more inclined to look at ground level, where plenty of cars are parked on Denver’s former Court House Square and Court Street. What do you see here?
