Columbus, Ohio, 1966 and 1985

Longtime blog readers will recall that I spent my formative years in and around Columbus, Ohio, so I was delighted to come across PhotOhio.org, the Grandview Heights Public Library’s online photo archive, which has plenty of Columbus-area historical photos, including a few that’ll work for our street scene series, starting with the above shot, taken in 1966 at the intersection of Alum Creek Drive and East Main Street, with traffic exiting I-70. Below, another 1966 shot, this one taken at the Alum Creek Drive exit off I-70 on the other side of Livingston. I used this exit to get to the main Columbus campus of DeVry a number of times.

And one more shot, this one from 1985 showing traffic on I-71, looking south from the Hudson Street overpass. This is less than a mile from where I grew up on Karl Road; who knows, the guy in that Chevette waaaay back there could very well be my dad!

Anyway, enough with the reminiscing. What do you see in these three shots?
