Chilly Verde – 1936 Ford Three-Window Coupe

Every car is a compromise—even (and especially) those built by car companies—so to expect anything different from hot rod builders would seem naive, at best.
Every car is a compromise—even (and especially) those built by car companies—so to expect anything different from hot rod builders would seem naive, at best. Yet Jack Chisenhall’s car projects throughout the years have been seemingly uncompromising, given how hyper-planned they’ve been. Jack’s like a wedding planner on bath salts when it comes to establishing and then fulfilling all of the crazy, self-imposed standards his projects need to meet. Take, for instance, his ’53 Studebaker (HRM, Mar. ’95). Once completed, it had to be driven to Bonneville and then run 200 mph before he deemed it complete. And he had to do it with the A/C on full blast, because Jack owns Vintage Air, the largest manufacturer of air conditioners for the performance aftermarket.
