Chicago, 1958

Back to Charles Cushman for today’s street scene, shot on a sunny September 28, 1958, looking east on West Huron Street. Cushman is using that long lens trick to flatten a very deep scene again here, which leads us to believe that, although he stated he was at the intersection of Aberdeen and Huron when he took the shot, he was actually further west, about where Ogden Avenue crosses over I-94. Regardless of his exact location, there’s plenty here for carspotters, both in the intended shot and in the ghosted double exposure on the right. What do you see here?
