Caught in the Wild: Hellcat-Powered 2017 Jeep Trackhawk

Published by Mike on

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is what happens when you give SRT engineers too much coffee, and a bit too much time around anything lacking a Hellcat engine. Last winter, Mike Manley, head of the Jeep brand, confirmed that we’d see a Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee before the end of 2017. And while we’ve seen photos of a Durango wearing Hellcat-like bumpers, we’ve been waiting far too long to hear the glorious Hellcat howl from a Jeep!

This Trackhawk was caught in traffic by @Sinister_Z07, and if you listen close you can juuust hear that familiar Hellcat supercharger whine as Jeep’s engineer tries to baby the supercharged 6.2L Hemi through the gears. This mule appears to carry the wheel and brake package from the current Grand Cherokee SRT, with its blacked-out 20-inch wheels and Brembo brakes.
