Caterham introducing two new Sevens at Monterey

We could hardly count all the variants of the iconic Seven which Caterham has produced over the past 40-plus years. Some of them make it to the North American market and some don’t, but the British automaker has just announced two new variants heading straight for American shores.
Set to be rolled out in Monterey over Pebble Beach weekend are the Seven 360 and 480. Developed specifically for the US market, these latest variations on the classic Lotus theme are powered by a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec four. The Seven 360 (pictured above) packs 180 horsepower to reach 62 from a standstill in 4.9 seconds and top out at 130 miles per hour, while the Seven 480 (inset at right) ups the ante with 237 hp, a 3.4-second 0-62 time and a 140-mph top speed.
Like all other Caterham Sevens, these latest versions are shipped to the US partially built to Superformance which completes final assembly locally. Pricing for the Seven 360 starts at $44,900, while the Seven 480 will set you back $52,900.
