Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1955

Among Roger Wollstadt’s photos of his travels across the country on Flickr, we see a handful from his time at MIT, including these two taken from his dorm room in Senior House, overlooking Amherst Street, taken at different times in 1955. He surmises that many of the cars that lined the road were students’ cars, “probably used cars, a few years old.” Then again, for 1955, some of them appear relatively new. What do you see here?
