Burbank, California, 1966
High school parking lots always seem to take on a different flavor from regular everyday parking lots: plenty more cheap cars, plenty more beaters, and plenty more unusual vehicles. They’re still fascinating snapshots in time, though whether they accurately encapsulated what was commonplace on the road at the time is debatable. That said, let’s take a look at the Burbank High School parking lot in this 1966 photo that the Museum of the San Fernando Valley scanned from a BHS yearbook (full vertical image below).
