Bennington, Vermont, 1970s

There’s some downtown revitalization planning going on here in Bennington lately, which probably doesn’t mean much to 99 percent of you, but nevertheless benefits 100 percent of you via these carspotting photos we liberated from one of the planning reports and which originally came from the Vermont Division for Historical Preservation. Every foreground building in these photos still stands these days, though that telephone booth hasn’t stood there for years, and some of the storefronts have sat empty for some time. What do you see here?
