Online auction site ScreenBid.com is currently auctioning some of the props used in the seven-year television series Sons of Anarchy, with some of the profits from the auction to go to several charities.
Some of the items up for grabs in this auction include the Airstream trailer where ex-sheriff Unser lived during the last few seasons of the show and the 1966 Pontiac GTO that was used in a chase scene for the final episode.
Motorcycles that you can bid on include the 1946 Harley Knucklehead that belonged to club founder John Teller and is the bike which main character Jax Teller rode on the last show, and ultimately to his death. The 2001 Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide ridden by one of the shows favorite characters, Opie, who met his untimely death at the hands of prison inmates during season five, is also available.
Other show-related memorabilia including the gavel from the SAMCRO clubhouse, Jax’s white Nike sneakers (hopefully sans Gemma’s blood), Jax’s helmet and a SAMCRO cut used during the show’s seven seasons. Sons Of Anarchy was one of the most popular shows ever to appear in the FX Network line-up, with over 6.4 million viewers tuning in for the series finale and another 2.8 million watching it on re-broadcast (It was up against the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in its initial time slot).
You can register to bid on the items at the ScreenBid.com website and view the hundreds of additional show props up for sale. Screen Bid’s online auction is only open until 12 noon on Thursday, with prices already well over $16,000 for the Knucklehead and over $15,000 for the slightly damaged Pontiac GTO. Opie’s Dyna Glide is still a steal at $7,000. The SAMCRO cut should also go for a large amount and is already over $5,000. Proceeds of the sale from some of the items will go to the non-profit Chrysalis Foundation, the Boots Campaign and also to the non-profit Friends and Helpers Organization.
