A C- and D-type Christmas
A few months back, the inimitable Terry Larson helped me put together a story on his Jaguar C-type, XKC 017, but there was far more material, current and historical than we could ever use. One of the really great things about Terry is that he drives the bejeesus out of his car, and in fact we did some of our interviews from on the road, as he was on the annual C- and D-type tour, one of the most spectacular gatherings of racing Jaguars outside of LeMans.
We really had no place for it in the story, but he asked photographer Greg Johnson send along some photos of the tour, which languished neglected in the depths of my Inbox until I ran out of room and finally remembered them, just in time for a little holiday magnificence. The tour won’t kick an XKSS out of bed for eating crackers, either.

XKSS dude, I didn’t get your name – but congratulations. You have our editor-in-chief’s all-time favorite automobile, bar none.
They won’t kick an XF out of the pack, either. I’m assuming it’s a chase/breakdown car, not that a 50-year-old Jaguar racecar would ever break down.
These people are never not smiling.
