2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Priced $1,000 Above Standard Model

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid SV is headed to dealerships priced at $27,180, or $1,000 more than a comparable gas-only Rogue.

Standard features on the base Rogue SV include remote engine start, cloth seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 5-inch color display. The Rogue Hybrid will also be available in the SL trim, which starts at $32,100 and adds a motion-activated liftgate, leather seats, 7-inch color touchscreen, Nissan Connect with Navigation and Mobile Apps, and a surround view monitor. The Rogue Hybrid SL is priced $1,200 above the non-hybrid SL.

Front-wheel drive is standard on both trim levels, but buyers can pay an extra $1,350 to get all-wheel drive. A Premium Package, priced at $2,870 on the SV and $1,520 on the SL, adds a few extra goodies to the roster.

A completely new model for 2017, the Rogue Hybrid comes equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and 30-kilowatt electric motor for a total system output of 176 hp. Fuel economy is estimated to hit 33/35/34 mpg combined with front-wheel drive, or 31/34/33 mpg with all-wheel drive.

Hybrid Rogues receive a few unique features that separate them from their traditional gasoline counterparts. The second row features a 60/40 split folding design, and Nissan also added a storage compartment under the rear cargo area. Also look for a special HEV gauge on the instrument cluster, as well as Pure Drive HED badging on the exterior of the car.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is now on sale in the West, Northwest, and Mountain regions of the U.S. and will roll out to the rest of the nation this spring.
