2017 Nissan Armada Pricing Jumps to $45,395

For 2017, Nissan endows the Armada with the capable bones of the Nissan Patrol that the rest of the world gets. With that upgrade comes a significant bump in price for the flagship SUV. The 2017 Nissan Armada starts at $45,395, or $5,890 more than its starting price in 2015, when the previous model was last sold.

That amount gets you an SV 2WD model, which comes standard with Nissan Navigation, an 8.0-inch color touchscreen, heated front seats, and a 13-speaker Bose audio system. Stepping up to the SL will cost $50,145, while opting for the Platinum will run you $58,085. Adding four-wheel drive costs an extra $2,900. All Armada SUVs come with a 5.6-liter Endurance V-8 making 390 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque, up 73 hp and 16 lb-ft from the previous model. That engine is backed by a seven-speed automatic transmission and facilitates the Armada’s 8,500-pound towing capacity in both 4WD and 2WD trim.

Available safety features include Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention, and Blind Sport Intervention systems. With the move to the Patrol platform, the Armada now shares much in common with the Infiniti QX80. As expensive as the Armada has become, the pricing strategy still leaves room between it and the Infiniti version, which starts at $64,245.
