20 minutes in heaven: Sam Smith, Laguna Seca, and an Alpina 2002ti.
At the Monterey Historics, BMW handed Sam Smith the key (yes, it starts with a key) to its freshly restored 1970 Alpina 2002ti race car. It’s a former Alpina works racer that was later campaigned by Vasek Polak in the SCCA 2.5-liter Trans-Am.
