1939 Studebaker Coupe – The Boss

Randy and Yvonne Davis from Littletown, Pennsylvania, became friends with Charlie Garrett when they purchased one of his former race cars—a ’33 Willys—in 1978. In 2010, Randy was considering another steel-bodied Willys Gasser project and looked again to Charlie, whose interest in his long-since-sold Gasser—a ’39 Studebaker that was featured in the Jan. ’67 issue of HOT ROD—steered Randy to look for the car, dubbed “The Boss.”
