See 100-plus photos of the great junkers, projects, and barn finds at Turner’s Auto Wrecking in Fresno, California.

It’s mind blowing that we’re only three hours south, yet we’ve never been to Turner’s Auto Wrecking in Fresno, California. That changed today, and we hung out there to bring you this photo tour of 100 acres of great junk and barn finds. Yup, 100. The place seems like it never ends. Yet more amazing than the grounds is the story of the owner, Jerry Turner, who has lived on the property since he was 4 in 1932! The house he grew up in still stands (it’s the red one in the photo gallery), and Jerry says the center part of it has been there since 1888. His dad farmed the land back in the Grapes of Wrath era, and he bought Jerry a Model T for $10 when he was 7. By 10, Jerry was driving it around, and his automotive passion never slowed down from that moment on. By 1961 he’d started the auto wrecking business on the property, and he eventually purchased five other adjacent properties to compile the current empire of vintage automotive greatness. In the ’90s, he had his own airstrip running right through the middle of the property!
